Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Fiery and energetic Aries is the most dynamic of all the signs, and needs a partner who can handle their free-willed spirit. They're most compatible with other Fire signs - especially Sagittarius, whose thirst for independence matches that of Aries. Avoid signs of Capricorn and Cancer - who are the worst possible match for Aries due to their need for security and reassurance.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Laid back and chilled out, Taurus is most compatible with four signs: Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn and Pisces. Especially well-suited to Cancer, the Earth and Water combination make for a harmonious pairing. Taurus should be careful to avoid Aquarius - whose drive for change contrasted with Taurus' resistance, will make for a messy relationship.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

Adaptable Gemini can get along with anyone, but they're most compatible with Libra or Aquarius - with both signs sharing Gemini's people skills and independence. Gemini could struggle to form a successful relationship with the sign of Pisces - their sensitivity often clashes with Gemini's direct and often cool approach to life.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

Cancer's moods are known to fluctuate and they have a tendency to be one of the most sensitive signs. Like Pisces, their emotions stay close to the surface - which makes them a great match for each other. They should avoid Aries, whose fiery temperament is too hot to handle.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

Confident and passionate, Leo's positivity bodes well with Aries and Sagittarius whose sunny enthusiasm and passionate drive are the perfect combination. Fiery Leo should steer clear of Scorpio, whose controlling nature totally clashes with Leo's.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)

Conscientious and practical Virgo can find a match made in heaven with similarly minded Capricorn, whose attitude to love and life is near identical. Virgos should avoid Sagittarius due to their happy-go-lucky attitude which would likely become an irritation to cautious Virgo.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)

It's difficult to have any kind of conflict with a Libra, who - when it comes to love - are looking for a drama-free, harmonious pairing. For this reason, Libras do well with Aquarius and Gemini who share their approach. Libras should avoid signs of Capricorn, whose practicality combined with Libra's agreeable nature will result in vast differences.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)

Intense Scorpio is often well paired with signs of Pisces, whose emotional tendencies and need for security can be found in protective Scorpio. Equally dominating Leo is the worst pairing for Scorpio due to their stark similarities.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

Easy going Sagittarius is most compatible with one of the other Fire signs - particularly Aries - due to the pair being as equally independent and driven as each other. Signs of Sagittarius will often clash with Virgo who finds their chilled out nature frustrating.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

Capricorn: Loyal, hard-working and a great match for Virgo. Capricorn and Virgo are one of the strongest pairings, due to the many principles they share. Signs of Libra make for the worst match, with their laid-back approach to life being a total contrast to Capricorn.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

Aquarius are highly independent and can sometimes be emotionally distant. Therefore they're often well suited to Gemini - with both signs being able to bring out each other's bouncy spirit. Aquarius find it hard to deal with dominating tendencies - therefore Scorpio is the least compatible sign.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

Pisces: empathetic and often sensitive, Cancer is the perfect sign for Pisces. Not only are they understanding of their emotional tendencies, but they're one of the most intuitive of the zodiac - just like Pisces. For the fish sign, Gemini is often the worst pairing due to their often cold nature.
